Ulrik Mertens is a member of the Capital Markets department at Knight Frank in Belgium with more than 10 years of experience in Corporate Real Estate.
Ulrik is graduated in Business Engineering (MSc, Free University of Brussels, BE) and in Real Estate Management (Post-university degree, KU Leuven, BE).

In the beginning of his Real Estate career, Ulrik worked in the office department of DTZ (now merged with Cushman & Wakefield) in Belgium during 5 years. He has mainly been involved in letting & sales transactions in the “Brussels Office Market”. He advised local and international landlords for the commercialization of their office buildings, and supported them in identifying new occupiers and in negotiating lease contracts.
Furthermore, he guided several occupiers through their real estate process (Apple, Twentieth Century Fox, Lactalis, Chiesi, Carrefour Express, Getronics, etc.).

In the Capital Markets department within Knight Frank, Ulrik is advising national and international investors and developers in acquisitions or disposals. He offers real estate investment advice in terms of commercial, financial, legal and tax matters throughout the entire property investment process. In the last 3 years Ulrik has mainly been focusing on offices and logistics investment transactions. Among others, he has been involved in the acquisition of the Pegasus Park (Office Park of 85,000 sqm in Brussels) by Resolution, Fidelidade & Fosun for 150 M€, the sale of Segro’s two logistics properties (92,500 sq m) in Belgium for a volume of 90 M€ to Tritax Eurobox, the acquisition of the Cortenbergh 71 office building (41 M€) in the European district of Brussels by M&G; the sale of a DHL logistics property in the Airport District to the American investor Realterm, etc.
